​Farmdo, in collaboration with IIT Guwahati and NESFI, is pioneering a sustainable solar waste recycling process that ensures end-of-life solar panels are efficiently managed. The process involves systematic collection, dismantling, and advanced mechanical and thermal treatments to separate glass, aluminum, silicon, and precious metals. These recovered materials are purified and repurposed for use in new solar panels, construction, and electronics, while hazardous residues are safely disposed of. This initiative not only reduces environmental risks but also promotes a circular economy, enabling renewable energy systems to remain truly green and sustainable for future generations.
